When one loves another
Their instinct’s to embark
On a lifelong journey
With freedom a trademark
Love fuels heart-felt effort
To express love outwardly
Is hinged with follow through
Made known consistently
Love desires to connect
To share in drawing near
To be involved and motivate
To cherish what is dear
Love bestows independence
For each person engrossed
It does not chastise hope
But encourages and grows
True love does not take flight
At the first sign of strain
But flexes and is willing
To pursue in righteous gain
Love’s purity and strength
Is promised from Above
With each person willing
To manifest God’s love
True love does not confine
Distort, or wrongly use
The gift of someone’s heart
For reasons that diffuse
Adversity will strike -
Is decreed, fixed and fated
Of the enemy’s attack
On man – for love is hated
Yet God’s promise is sure
For those steadfast in Him
That deception will not move
True love rooted within

Born again since age 7 thanks forever to Billy Graham; my prodigal years were ages 13-21... where I lived and died to self - found life in Jesus. Thankful for His forgiveness, I live life according to John 3:16... and always running the race; growing in Christ; maturing: a life-long process.
