I'm purging my sorrow,
I am crying my last tear
I am not going to weep
for I've nothing to fear.
Thou there is darkness,
surrounding me tonight
it's not going to keep me
from His saving light.
Tonight I'm getting rid of,
all the pain that I feel
my grief is bottled up
so my tears God can heal.
My wandering He has noted,
they're in His book of grace
now in my soul's afflictions
I only seek to find His face.
I'm purging my sorrow,
I'm not crying till the morning
I am not going to weep . . .
for joy will replace my mourning.

King James Version (KJV)
"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his
favour is life: weeping may endure for a
night, but joy cometh in the morning."
