The Smile You Gave

Thank you for the smile you gave, it really paved the way
To making me feel comfortable, it encouraged me to stay

It led me to a warmer place, where I could take shelter from the rain
It introduced me to some new friends, that helped me heal my pain

It helped me look deep inside, it helped show me how to live
It helped show me how to grow in love, it taught me how to give

So thank you for the smile you gave when you took me by the hand
For it led me from the broken road and straight into Jesus hands
