Whether in times of victory,
or when troubles are increasing
we must remember to pray
frequently and without ceasing.

For prayer is the ladder,
that reaches up to heaven
where God's ready to receive
requests of the heavy laden.

Prayers are like the Son-shine,
they must brighten up His day
when those who seek wisdom
get on their knees and pray.

Prayer is oven overlooked,
when everything looks bright
and we don't think we need
to seek Jesus when it's light.

But, He desires our prayers,
no matter their care or reason
and it is best to pray to Him
in and out of every season.

Just as our bodies need food,
so our souls need to pray
and we mustn't stop or cease
praying throughout our day!
