I ponder when in stillness
And see nothing but my Lord
He calms and caresses me
In pure forgiveness of His Word.

It is Jesus whom I serve,
Freed forever from past pains
And His growth, deliverance
That brought His healing gains.

God’s Word says to focus on
Christ’s victory at hand, and
Even though - I’ll always question,
Evil’s moves and plotted scams.

The hardest part of warfare
Is that the enemy will use
Those closest to your heart
To birth pain and to confuse.

Pray against a victim mind-set
That plays into evil’s game:
His purpose is to obscure Truth
Into lies for "who’s to blame".

Be careful, don’t assume
Accusations personally, for
The person reaching out to you
May seek Christ’s identity.

Love others like our Lord -
Your mind in Christ be set apart -
Be there for those who hurt you -
Your very own sore heart.

So wife, husband, brother, friend
Sister, pastor, neighbor…
True Love set above oneself
Is forever in God’s favor.
