Born to sinners
Into sin
Yet a mirace
Since my life began
Daughter of paupers
Never planned
By people unconcerned
Since my life began
Father left early
Mother without a man
Her caring was absent
Since my life began
Shipped off to relatives
When I was thirteen
Evil then followed
Since my life began
Married at nineteen
To a Godless man
Desperation followed
Since my life began
Searching for something
I now understand
I was a sinner
Since my life began
Always lonely
Heart could not mend
Breaking always
Since my life began
I cried out to God
Please come take my hand
Save me, Dear Jesus
Since my life began
Jesus then answered
My child, understand
I have been with you
Since your life began
I've been by your side
Through sorrow and pain
Protected and loved you
Since your life began
My savior did hear me
Our hearts are now one
The Lord is now with me
My life has begun
