Reaching a moment when my time comes
My Lord in heaven will call me home
Leaving this old earthly body behind
To a spiritual realm with no space or time

What will I do when I first meet my Lord?
Will I shout out his name or say not a word?
Can I touch His garment as I've always dreamed of?
When I stand in His light, will I feel His love?

Imagine Him in a grace filled mansion
With shimmering angels in floating dimensions
A home brimming with love and affection
Limitless beauty in all directions

I will sense I am home, I will know right away
At the feet of my Lord, I will kneel and pray
I will dance for joy at merely His sight
He will beckon me on with a shining light

I am filled with a sense of peace right now
No doubt in my mind what life is about
The life our Lord intended for me
At the end of my days I know where I'll be

When my time here on earth is through
I'll reach eternity by the way of the Truth
My spirit will dwell in a universal sea
In heaven with Jesus at my destiny

I am a 61 year cancer survivor just recently become a writer. I write short stories, articles and poems of Christian or Spritual nature.
