So few believers anymore . . .
so few who open their heart's door
to our Savior and our Lord
so many looking for something more.

They hear the Good News, but reject,
the divine power that it represents
instead they opt to ignore the wisdom
and show to God ~ their disrespect.

To them Jesus was a poor carpenter,
and most say He was a "good man"
but they don't discern or see the truth
of our Lord and Savior's ~ eternal plan.

They would rather go off and scoff,
rebellious hearts, turning Christ away
for they rather follow the world's beliefs
then to see the light of grace ~ in its array.

So few believers anymore . . .
so many who still need to hear more
about our Savior and our Lord
so many to lead to His heart's door.

Isaiah 53:1-3

"Who hath believed our report? and to whom is
the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall
grow up before him as a tender plant, and as
a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form
nor comeliness; and when we shall see him,
there is no beauty that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of
sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we
hid as it were our faces from him; he was
despised, and we esteemed him not."
