There is a special road to heaven,
God paved and engraved it for me,
With shades of white and gold reflections,
Glowing softly for angels to see.

On the day He calls me home,
I'll leave this earth by the dark.
When my spirit leaves my body,
My special road will start.

I'll travel on this cherished journey,
God has destined as it should be.
A river will run beside my path,
My valley of death is behind me.

When finally I feel His presence,
On my knees I will worship Him,
Praise and Glory I will offer,
To the One who took me from Sin.

There is a special place in heaven,
Where I'll take a seat at His side,
I will no longer be in pain,
My tears will all be dried.

There is a special God in Heaven,
Whose loves runs deep as the sea,
He'll welcome me with open arms,
And design a room for me.

I will know at once I have made it,
When He tells me "this is heaven!"
"Your journey on the road stops here,
Your sins were all forgiven!"

I am a 61 year cancer survivor just recently become a writer. I write short stories, articles and poems of Christian or Spritual nature.
