"Politics," it is discussed by peons-to-pundits. We repeat the latest commentator's rhetoric. Like ping-pong contestants, disgruntled citizens complain about corruption in government. With disdain, the average person points their accusing finger at leaders with character flaws. The problem is nothing new. Solomon was right on target.
"If you see oppression of the poor and perversion of justice and righteousness in the province, don't be astonished at the situation, because one official protects another official, and higher officials [protect] them (Ecclesiastes 5:8 HCS)." Political corruption abounds. The real tragedy is our propensity to draw back in defeat; instead, hear God's call. Proceed and intercede.
