Greed is like a cancer working deep in the bone
Eating away at our souls with the things that we own.

Jesus Christ never owned a single thing on this earth
Yet He created all things well before His birth.

Jesus came to earth with a giving mission from above
His success reached its peek on a Cruel Cross of Love.

The measure of a man is not determined by gold
God looks on the heart to measure every soul!

A man full of greed only cares about himself
His heart gathers dust and lies useless on the shelf.

If you have embraced greed on that path you trod
Better turn and run or spend eternity without God.

Put less fortunate people's needs ahead of yourself
Reclaim your heart from that old dusty shelf.

Better to have a heart that is always giving
That is the only way to do Godly living.

I will say it once more as I end this rhyme
"Run from GREED while you still have time!"
