IDOLATRY

Idols have a zillion faces so I'm at a loss as where to start
An Idol is something other than God that dominates your heart.

Israel was warned many times Ezekiel 22 Jeremiah 7, 8 and 9
That Idolatry was to God an abomination and the ultimate crime!

God sent great judgments and wrath against Israel time and again!
To turn them from their idols and shake them from their sin.

Is your heart driven by an idol that you think is really neat?
Does your idol ride up front with you with God in the back seat?

When Sunday comes around do you go to church to worship God
Or are you out worshipping your idol on that path you trod?

God is a jealous God and His word does warn us well
Idolatry can damn your soul causing you to spend eternity in hell.

So what drives your heart and sets you in motion?
Is it God or your idol that gets all your devotion?

America is consumed with idolatry and on a violent godless path
She's soon to be the object of God's anger and His wrath.

Ezekiel 6:9
And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall loath themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
Psalm 9:17
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
