No Time for Jesus

I love you God but, I just have no time for you
My life is just too busy with all I have to do.

I love you God even though I have strayed away
I love you even though I never make time to pray.

I love you Lord but I cannot go to church and sing
Because Sunday is the day that I do my own thing!

I want to go to Heaven yet still be my own boss
I have no time to worship the one who bore the cross.

I have no time to study or to read your Holy Word
It would cut into my fun time and that would be absurd.

I love you Lord but I am just as busy as can be
I have no time to worship Jesus who died for me.

I love you Lord though I have no spiritual goals
I just can't find the time to witness to lost souls.

I really love you Lord even though I seldom talk to you
Earthly cares keep me too busy to send up a prayer or two.

Lord, you know fun and family has to be number one
Jesus must take a backseat even though He is your Son!

Lord when I have grown old with not much left to give
I will make time for you and for you my life I'll live.

God when I stand before you on the Judgment Day
I hope you'll understand; I had to have things my way!


God: Soul you know that I love you and I did all I could!
You had a choice during life to do things you should.

You're name from my Book of Life I sadly had to erase
You stand before me condemned; without Jesus to plead your case.

When I pass sentence I am bound by my own law
My Word is forever fixed and from it I can't withdraw!

Jesus was never your priority as your record does easily tell
Without Jesus to defend you, I must send you to Hell.
