SIN IS LIKE THE WIND

by Lewis E. Thomas
10/17/2012 / Poetry

Sin is like the wind a force we cannot see
Its effects are all around us if we have eyes to see.

Like a mighty TORNADO Sin tosses mankind to and fro
No man or woman has ever escaped its relentless blow.

Sin rages from early dawn and after we go to bed
Continuing through the night raising its ugly head.

Sin was born when it was conceived in the heart of Eve
Quickly became a storm that causes mankind to grieve.

Sin's winds will rape and molest an innocent little child
Sin's storm has turned our world into a land that's vile!

Sin's winds know no limits murder, bribery, and extortion
Sin reaches into the womb and kills babies with abortion!

Sin blows through our homes bringing forth divorce
Lives are forever shattered and broken by its force?

Sin transforms people into adulterers, drunkards and the like
When will man repent and end the suffering and the strife?

Sin can bring pleasure for a season with no need to cry
It's the Calm before the STORM of Sin's massive eye!

Sin's whirlwinds will return and there will be no place to hide
We will reap what we have sowed and swallow all our pride.

This is a warning from God so don't make fun and mock
Run to Jesus now and build your house upon the Rock.

God will give you shelter against Sin that is really grand
So don't be like the fool who built his house upon the sand.

Lewis E. Thomas as given by God on 11-9-2010

Ref: Matthew 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
