STAY CONNECTED

The Creator planted a seed as He passed by one day
It grew into a Mighty Tree magnificent in every way!

Its branches spread forth quickly north, east, west, and south
It produced spiritual fruit and it fed many a hungry mouth.

It provided a shelter to those suffering from Sin's heat
It offered its food to all people who wanted to eat.

It became a Great Landmark for lost souls passing by
Then sadly one day this Mighty Tree began to die!

Its fruit began to wither and its branches began to crumble
It failed as a Landmark and caused many souls to stumble!

Many who had eaten from it grew sad and began to cry
"How could such a Great Tree begin to decay and die?"

The wise men all prayed hard and they asked God: "Why?"
Then God answered them from way out beyond the sky:

"This Tree remained GREAT as long as it was rooted in me"
"I filled it with fruit that caused many blind eyes to see."
"Sin severed its roots and its connection with Heaven above"
"Spiritual Trees can never survive for long without my love!"
"This rhyme is a warning to every Christian in the pew"
"Stay connected to ME or Spiritual Decay will begin in you!"
