Prayer for Today

Oh Lord, give me your strength
Fill my soul with your hope
Today as all other days
Let me hide beneath your cloak

Give me faith to face my trials
Let my mind rest with you
Allow me to lie in your arms
With your grace so tried and true

Send your forgiveness everlasting
With mercy you have greatly stored
For a sinner who was ignorant
Of your love forever more

Call my name without ceasing
I must hear your voice at last
Bring me to my knees Oh Lord
Take me out of days of past

Raise me up to your expectations
As I have fallen short time after time
Make me what you will for me
Remind my soul your heart is mine

I am a 61 year cancer survivor just recently become a writer. I write short stories, articles and poems of Christian or Spritual nature.
