Quicken Me, Oh Lord

Quicken me, Oh Lord,
wake up my sleeping soul
restore to me my first love
come and make me whole.

Quicken me, Oh Lord,
make Your Word come alive
these are such trying times
let my love for You survive.

Quicken me , Oh Lord,
let Your Spirit work in me
help me to die to self
set me ~ from me free.

Quicken me, Oh Lord,
teach me to do Your will
cause me to know Your peace
help me to be calm and still.

Quicken me, Oh Lord,
set my heart on fire
cause me to seek and know
what it is ~ that You desire.

Quicken me, Oh Lord,
my soul needs to be awaken
to my first love . . .
who has never me ~ forsaken!
