For some this Thanksgiving
it will be hard to be thankful
and to God . . .
even harder to be grateful.

With so many lives,
that are now upside down
some may stop believing
that God is still around.

Showing Him thankfulness,
after the storms aftermath
won't be easy for those
who felt its rage and wrath.

All of their possesions,
are broken or destroyed
and all that is left in them
is a desperate, hopeless void.

So ~ today I'm making this,
my Thanksgiving prayer
to all who are now living
in misery and with despair.

Don't ever give up on God,
or think that He isn't there
know He eternally has you
in His loving tender, care.

For~ He is always faithful,
and will help get you through
so don't let your doubt and fear
take the thanksgiving out of you!
