God is not interested

God is not interested in your 8-year old daughter's ballet classes or your 8-year old son's karate classes. These things are of no consequence to God. God is interested in your young son or daughter - period. And if the Rapture happens today He will remove all young and innocent children from the Earth to protect them from the wrath to come. If you, as parents, are left behind, then know that you are held accountable for not having prepared for this event.

God is not interested in your bridge club or any other club for that matter. These things come to an abrupt end when Jesus returns for those whose interests revolved around Him.

God is not interested in the television programmes that have had you bound to the extent that they and their icons have become your idols. God is only interested in the time you spent meditating on His Word.

God is not interested in your personal philosophies and anger at those not seeing things your way. God is only interested in your relationship with Him and seeing things His way.

God is not interested in your selfish desires and discomfort because your airconditioning unit packed up. God is only interested in what you did to alleviate the discomfort of the less fortunate.

God is not interested in the social events marked in your calendar. God is only interested in the time you have made for Him.

God is not interested in the worldly wisdom you have gained in life. God is only interested in the wisdom you have acquired from Him.

God is not interested in the success of the sports team you are fanatical about. God is only interested in your fanaticism about Him.

God is not interested in your parties and social functions. God is only interested in the worthwhile things you do while He allows you to keep on living.

God is not interested in the latest fashion that you try to keep up with. God is only interested in the condition of your heart towards Him while you wear anything to keep your body covered.

God is not interested in your retirement plans to make sure you'll live out your old age in comfort. God is only interested in the plans you've made and the forethought you've given to retire with Him for eternity.

God is not interested in all the fears you have about everything around you, God is only interested in the peace you have with Him.

God is not interested in your recreational activities such as a drink with the boys at the pub or golf on Sundays. God is only interested in your search for the purpose He has for you.

God is not interested in your boredom or complaints about not having any fun. God is only interested in the appreciation and joy you have because of Him.

God is not interested in your fragrant body spray to attract the opposite sex. God is only interested in the sweet fragrance you are to Him.

God is not interested in your gossiping habit. God is only interested in the good things you have to say about Him.

God is not interested in your search for the truth about life. God is only interested in the Truth you have found in Him.

God is not interested in the worldly books that you read. God is only interested in the good things you tell or write about His Book.

God is not interested in the tattoos on your body or the rings you have pierced through your skin in order to make a statement to those who see it. God is only interested in the statement you make to the world about Him.

God is not interested in your desire to be rich and famous. God is only interested in your acceptance of the riches that He has for you.

God is not interested in your mockery of those that believe in Him. God is only interested in the day that you also believe in Him.

God is not interested in the intellectuality you display in order to identify with those who believe they are better informed. God is only interested in your humility to believe in Him so that you can indeed be better informed.

God is not interested in your earthly behaviour that would send you to hell. God is only interested in your search for Him in order for you to avoid hell.

So it seems that all of your worldly interests carry no weight with God. They are as filthy rags before Him. But if you have the interests of God at heart, then all of your former interests will find a resting place in the trash can where it belongs. There is only one thing in your favour and that is the allotted time you have for carrying the Breath of Life He has given you. You have absolutely no other mechanism for the extension of your life here on Earth. But you can have life for eternity if you become one with the One that hung on the Cross the One in whom you live, and move and have your being. (Acts 17:28)

There is a feast called the Feasts of Trumpets. These trumpets are about to be blown lasting but a few days. When the last trumpet blows the Truth will hit those who refused to give up their interests - like a thief in the night. Those who did give up their interests will no longer be here for they will have been ready for this day.
