The Lord is my strength ~
in His power, I will rise above
for He will uplift and hold me
in the authority of His love.

He is the shield to my heart~
in His wings shadow I will abide
He will protect and keep me
for He is constantly at my side.

He is my soul's salvation ~
in His arms, I find true rest
He'll keep me safe and warm
and forever I will be blessed.

He is my faith's helper ~
in His mercy, I will not falter
He will give me the courage
and His ways I will not alter.

He is my anchoring rock ~
in His grace, I will stand tall
He will keep my feet steady
so to temptation I won't fall.

The Lord is my strength ~
I praise Him for His power
He puts the joy in my song
that keeps me empowered!
