MY BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD OF ME

by Karen Anderson
12/19/2012 / Christian Living

There are times in your life when you might find yourself going through the same pattern of stuff. You do it over and over again expecting different results, and you can't seem to get out of the repeat pattern. You almost feel like an airplane that is circling the airfield because it is not your turn to land, so you wait, and Wait, and WAIT some more, and WAIT! There seems to be no answer for you. The airfield can't even be seen because it is so far away. During that time you may be getting anxious because you have a connecting flight in only 20 minutes. There is just not enough time to land, find the gate and make a mad dash for the gate door. Plus, you are at the back of the plane and everyone is so slow getting their luggage and moving through the door. You are probably thinking, "I'll never make it. The next gate is probably on the far side of the terminal. What am I going to do if I miss my flight?" Many thoughts are running through your head if you can't make that connecting flight. Think about when this has happened to you and how you feel as you are desperately trying to get off this flight and onto the next one.

When you let the past determine what is happening to you right now, it creates such worry and frustration that nothing will changeyou are stuck. You know I'm right! If you really analyze your situation, you could probably say, "Yes, I am stuck on my past experiences and I just can't go any further." God says to, "Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past." God is giving you the okay to look towards something exciting that He has waiting for you.

This is the time when you need to shake it up and start believing that you only have this moment in time, so turn to God. You are saying this to God: "I'm single-minded in pursuit of you; don't let me miss the road signs you've posted." Wouldn't you rather continue a marvelous and unexpected trip to that glorious future He has for you? I'm sure you have heard the saying that you only have this moment in time. Make it a great, holy moment with Him. Answer this questionare you ready and expectantly waiting for His road signs? I don't know about you, but I can't wait for the next one He has posted for me. Dear friends, keep watching for them. THEY ARE THERE!
