The Birth Of Spiritual Gurus And Divine Intervention Through Faith-Praise

by Ngozi Nwoke

Do you desire to grow more spiritually and enjoy more divine interventions? Faith-praise is one of the spiritual steps to take in order to become a spiritual guru. God dwells in the midst of praise, and when fortified by faith, it provokes divine manifestation.

Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11 (NKJV)

"... Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful." After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army,... As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated - 2 Chronicles 20:20-23 (NIV)

A spiritual guru is someone who understands the spiritual realm and exercises a very high authority in it. His name is feared in the kingdom of darkness and honoured in the kingdom of God. Acts 19:11-17

God is the ultimate spiritual guru and if you must be like Him then you must consistently dwell in His presence. This is because as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend - Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV). Therefore, to be sharpened by God, you must abide with Him, and praise is the gateway to God's presence.

Spiritual gurus understand the importance of faith-praise. It is praise backed up with faith in your heart. Faith powered praise makes tremendous spiritual step towards provoking divine interventions. Now, spiritual giants do mighty works because the Lord is with them. But nobody can attract God if there is no faith coupled with praise. God cannot dwell in a praise-less environment.

Therefore to become a spiritual guru you must learn the act of praise and also have faith in God whom you are praising: believe that He is able to do what He says He will do. Praise moves God to action but where the praise is not from the heart, He does nothing. Lip-service praise is like noise before Him.

Faith filled praise transfers your battle to God. For instance, King Jehoshaphat, a spiritual guru understood this spiritual step very well. So, when God promised victory to them, he knew that the only way to command divine intervention was by engaging in faith-praise. When they started praising God, the Lord was provoked to action and all their enemies were smitten.

Abraham, another spiritual giant did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and was fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform - Romans 4:20-21 (NKJV). And God did unto him and Sarah as He had promised, Isaac was born.

Faith filled praise kept Abraham all through his waiting period for God's promise to manifest. This contributed to him being singled out as the father of faith, a spiritual guru in the kingdom. Faith powered praise will also single you out in the Kingdom. It takes faith-praise to make a giant spiritual step in the kingdom.

Also, David a man after God's heart (1 Samuel 13:14), is another notable example. He praised God seven times a day (Psalm 119:164) and believed totally in the God of his fathers. The Psalms give a good picture of David's way of life: he lived a life of praise. Though he had so many adversaries all through his reign as the king of Israel, yet he hoped continually and praised God more and more - Psalm 71:14. God intervened all the time and he never lost a battle.

Furthermore, David through his consistent fellowship with God in praise and prayer became a prophet though a king. He prophesied among other things the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ - Psalm 2:7, Acts 13:35. He became a king never to be forgotten forever. God was so pleased with him that our saviour Jesus Christ came into this world as his descendant - Acts 13:23.

Lastly, let's consider Jesus Christ, the perfect example of a spiritual guru. He believed in God, His father and ever gave glory to Him. Many times He praised and gave thanks to God before multitudes and divine manifestation occurred. One time He gave thanks to God and five loaves and two fishes fed five thousand men besides women and children (Matthew 14:15-21). Another time, he gave glory again to God and Lazarus came back to life (John 11:41-44).

As a spiritual guru, Jesus started and finished His assignment on earth believing God and giving glory to Him. He enjoyed divine interventions and manifestations all through His lifetime on earth. Truly, faith-praise helps you to start and finish your assignment on earth.

In conclusion, for you to grow spiritually and become a spiritual giant, you must engage in faith filled praise. It is a spiritual step that will empower you to become like God and enjoy divine intervention.
