Age of Insanity...

Ever ponder the sheer lack of common sense by those "enlightened" among us, today, who speak for the intellectual elite? First, they tell us man's thoughts are random electrical impulses in a brain evolved from a senseless, one-celled life-form. Then, they proclaim that humans are the epitome of intelligence, capable of solving any problem, be it social, medical, or technical, essentially elevating mankind as their god of Humanism.
Recall the passage where Isaiah prophesies, concerning this demented reasoning: [(Man) takes some (cypress or oak), burns half of it in a fire, and he roasts meat on that half. He eats the roast and is satisfied. He warms himself and says, "Ah! I am warm, I see the blaze." He makes a god or idol with the rest of it. He bows down to it and worships; He prays to it, "Save me, for you are my god." Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand. No one reflects, no one has the perception or insight to say, "I burned half of it in a fire, I also baked bread on its coals, I roasted meat and ate. I will make something detestable with the rest of it, and I will bow down to a block of wood." He feeds on ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say, "Isn't there a lie in my right hand?" (Is. 44:16-20 HCSB)] (Italics mine)
No one can see the lie when man denies the existence of God, even when He is so obvious. Generous accolades were poured out upon Watson and Crick when they unraveled the human DNA code, but no mention was made of the One who designed it in the first place! Crick did comment that the design of DNA was "almost miraculous". Really?!
People will train for months and appear at the starting line in their smart jogging apparel to run for cancer when any one of the 40 million Americans who were torn asunder from the womb in the last 37 years could have been that person who discovered the cure. Oh, but it's all about females' rights. (What about the rights of those 20 million female babies?)
Their superior intelligence has given them insight to recognize the problems with a gender-based society of male and female couples, propagating the race. Never mind that this is obviously the way we were designed by our Creator: "God created man in His own imagemale and female be fruitful and multiply" (Gen. 1:27-8) Since they don't recognize God they can design any societal system they wish. Just ignore the confusion about restrooms, and the disease and psychological problems resulting from this "gender-neutral" society.
Why do they seem so clueless to the real world, even when faced with clear evidence? God gave them a choice. Then He honored their decision. "From the creation of the world, His invisible attributeshave been clearly seen, being understood from what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse. For though they knew God, they did not glorify HimInstead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became foolsAnd because they did not think it worthwhile to have God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong" (selections from Rom. 1:20-28 HCSB)
So, this is why the morals of our country have degraded to an all-time low; why everything is so upside down from the truth? Yes, it's because mankind chooses a Godless existence. The cause of this insanity we see today is our rejection of God and His principles!
What can we expect as the result of our rejecting God? "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes human flesh his strength and turns his heart from God." (Jer.17:5) So, are we believers charged with this tremendous responsibility of condemning mankind for their abandonment of God? No! "I the Lord, examine the mind, I test the heart to give to each according to what his actions deserve."(Jer.17:10)
Does this mean that we are all cursed, because of the transgressions of many, or is there hope for those who believe? Praise God, "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in the Lord."(Jer.17:7) "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." (Jn. 3:16) Stay the course, believer! Christ is coming!
