The Shape of Things

by Paul Taylor
1/16/2013 / Prophecy

Is the Bible accurate and can it be trusted for accuracy?

Is it accurate in the prophecies and judgments of nations and peoples?

Is there a Creator God that created the heavens and all that is in them including man, and is this God still in charge?

Todays scientists and scholars disagree about the existence of a superior intelligent being that created the heavens and the earth. Instead they rely on unsubstantiated theories that are being blown apart more frequently than ever before. The Bible is being authenticated as being factual in ever increasing frequency through archeology and science on an almost daily basis.

The Bible is not a science book per say, but it has been shown to be scientifically accurate and no evidence has been presented to contradict its accuracy. Yet we allow our children and ourselves to be taught lies concerning God, evolution and man in general based on unsubstantiated theories and no hard evidence.

No scientific facts have ever been shown to indicate we morphed from nothing into the intelligent beings we are today by evolving mainly from the ape; only theories have been presented as fact. My question is, if we evolved from the ape, why do we still have apes and why hasn't anyone noted any evolutionary changes from the recent past?

The Dead Sea Scrolls found in 1947-1956 has proven the accuracy of the Bible we use today; in particular the book of Isaiah in the scroll's, is verbatim to the Book of Isaiah in the modern King James Bible.

The Holy Bible was authored by more than 40 authors over a period of 1600 years; from about 1500 BC to 100 years after Jesus. This would put the written word at about 3600 years old, and after all these years, 40 different authors, and hundreds of translations, the Bible has not changed nor has it been altered from its original text. This could be called a miracle in itself, but the men who wrote these texts were inspired by God as a testimony, and truth of his power and glory, and not by the biases of man's evil heart.

As we read and study the texts of this book from 6000 years past, we see a pattern of divine intervention at critical points over the 6000 year period.

Man begins his existence in a perfect environment with peace and security. All his needs are provided for, including a perfect body and mind with no sicknesses or diseases present.

In this perfect world there is no violence, no wars, no murders, no sickness, no diseases, instead there is the love, peace and a personal interaction with a loving creator, providing for all the needs of his creation.

Adam and Eve had everything they would need to prosper and multiply on this small piece of rock in God's vast unfathomable universe; they were given free will to choose the course they would take; either love God and follow his plan of eternal life or follow the lies and deceit of Satan to eternal destruction.

Satan knew that greed and pride was the Achilles heel of the human heart and the humans would fall for his scheme, hook, line and sinker.

Adam & Eve chose foolishly and the rest is history.

The man and woman which God had created to tend his Earthly Garden, used their free will to subvert God's will, do it their way, and after 6000 years we are still seeing the results of that decision.

Sir Isaac Newton, a renowned physicist and scientist from the 16th century, made the observation in his third law of physics that "for every action there is an equal and opposite answer". (or reaction)

So, for the actions of our first parents, we are still feeling the effects of their action of rebellion to the Creator. The rebellion that started in the beginning has continued for 6000 years and has been growing with intensity to the present time of today. We are surrounded by such an overwhelming amount of evil and corruption that it boggles the mind, and have become so desensitized to the violence and sex being hurled at us in a constantly increasing pace, that we don't give it a passing glance, and accept it as normal.

Society, as well as professing Christians of today have tuned into the garbage of the airwaves 24/7, and tuned out the true word of God which is pleading for the people to turn from their worldly wicked ways and return to the one and only true means of peace, security and satisfaction that will last for eternity, but as in the past, the Bible has shown that man wants to do it his way, and change God's laws by twisting and turning them to suit his agenda and the worldly pleasures to suit his way of life; he uses God only for a convenience when necessary, and then blames Him when things go wrong.

Some Churches and Christians have now begun to accept the lie of evolution over the truth of the Bible, some have begun to question the account of Genesis and the first humans, Adam & Eve, as to whether this is a myth, and some denominations and Churches have even began to teach that God used evolution to create his world, and it was not six days but thousands of years, and still other Churches are performing homosexual marriages and blessing them as holy; a truly blasphemous and abominable insult to our creator God.

The Christian Church has become so secular that it is unrecognizable when compared to the description a true church should be in keeping the commandments and statutes of our Creator God.

Satan is very wise and cunning in his ways of deceiving God's people into believing a lie. There is a saying that if you tell a lie long enough it will eventually be accepted as the truth. Such is the case with evolution, the Bible and the Ten Commandments; specifically the fourth commandment. (see my article "What is the Sabbath?)

Television, movies, video games, sports, and even advertisements have reinforced this idea of evolution along with the guise that the homosexual / lesbian/ transsexual / bi-sexual lifestyles are normal and accepted by God; anyone opposing this agenda are considered religious fanatics, and hate mongers with a mental issue.

We tend to believe all of this make believe and lies from Hollywood, which cannot be proven, and yet we will not believe the word of God, which has not been disproven, but on the contrary has been proven accurate time after time.

Hollywood and Madison Avenue are spewing out a constant barrage of violence and sex in their messages, and Christians have bought into it without a blush by showing a total disregard of God's laws and warnings of the pitfalls and destruction coming from such lifestyles.

The Church and Christians have abandoned the moral tenets of the Ten Commandments and the teachings of the Holy Bible for the care-free, do as you please, and whatever feels good lifestyle that is so prevalent in today's society.

Is there any wonder why America has become such a morally bankrupt, violence ridden, sex crazed, crime plagued society hell bent on self destruction without a clue as to what lies ahead?

We as a supposedly intelligent society have become so enamored with a fantasy world woven by Hollywood, portraying sex , material wealth, and perfect bodies as everything to be desired for happiness and contentment, and when it doesn't, then violence and deceit is the answer to achieve it.

The television preachers and some mega churches are using some of the same tactics as Hollywood, by reaching out to the inward greed of the human psyche, preaching a prosperity message of the more you send me, the more God will give you. A deceitful Satan inspired lie, which has trapped many a soul and led them to eternal damnation.

It's a sad commentary when people will believe the nonsense these preachers are spitting out, and yet will not read God's word to find the truth. People will purchase multiple tabloids and magazines to keep up with the latest gossip of Hollywood Elites and Sports Figures, which wouldn't give you the time of day, but refuse to spend 1 hour studying God's plan for their eternal salvation.

I believe we, as a once morally upright Christian society, have passed the point of no return in our moral standing, and God has begun to judge us for the immoral, wicked, hypocritical, self-gratifying, godless, prideful lifestyles we have succumbed to.

In 2 Chronicles 7 God warns of the consequences to the nation that defiles his commandments and statutes.

19 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; 20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations

God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah for the very wickedness that is rampant today in America, the Tribes of Israel were taken captive and dispersed throughout the world, the Judean tribe has been taken captive and dispersed on numerous occasions, as well as other nations which rejected the moral and ethical laws of God.

Is America any better than Sodom & Gomorrah, or the tribes of Israel?

As a nation once beholden to our creator God and Jesus Christ we were blessed with a bounty of freedom, security, the safest and best food in the world as well as the best health care facilities in the world. We were blessed with some of the brightest minds in history who helped us achieve the standards we set for the world to follow.

What happened in the past 50 years to bring us down to the point we are today; dead and dying cities and towns by the dozens, factories closed, unemployment at all-time highs, home foreclosures, people starving and eating out of dumpsters, families living in tents ,cars, and under bridges, violent robberies and crime on the increase, our once local police are now more like storm troopers with no more compassion for the citizens than a stray animal, our schools are now so violent we have armed police in the hallways, students now graduating can barely read at a 5th grade level, and forget about simple arithmetic. Can anyone take a haphazard guess as to what happened?

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the Lord: 'Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'

1 Kings 9:8-9 8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house? 9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God,..

The Churches are so caught up in attempting to pacify the various groups and entities, which never seem to miss an opportunity to blast the Christian life with outlandish criticisms and mockery, that they are afraid to preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ for fear of retaliation. (Please read my article "Are The Ten Commandments Necessary?)

The Apostles faced not only intimidations, criticisms, and death, yet they did not flinch from the task of proclaiming the true Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Jewish nation after Jesus's ascension.

In Acts 4:19 Peter and John were preaching to about 5,000 Jews when they were arrested by the High Priest and held until the next day and then ordered to not preach the name of Jesus anymore, but, Peter and John were true to their God and answered thus 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye..

In other words God was more important than the political correct crowd or the government.

We see another confrontation with the same PC crowd in Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Jesus said in Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

The Churches, and let me clarify this statement concerning Churches. The Church is not the brick and mortar building where Christians attend each week, but it is the PEOPLE which call themselves Christians, that is the Church. So then we as the Church have become ashamed of Jesus and his teachings, fearing we may offend someone's wicked or sinful way of life, or some PC group or entity for pointing out the true gospel we are commanded to preach.

By adhering to this line of thinking we have helped to bring about the conditions we find ourselves in today. We have taken the position that we should not judge, and I whole heartedly agree as Matthew 7:1 states. Judge not, that ye be not judged. But, let's look at John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. We are commanded to not judge by condemnation but by rightousness, and there is a difference. Jesus said in Matt.7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

These texts are not instructing us to refrain from judging per say, but to be loving in rightousness, pointing out the sin, but not condemning the sinner. It is not our place to judge anyone, but is our responsibility to preach the true gospel and let God be the judge.

The Church needs to return to the bravery and zeal of Peter and the other Apostles by preaching God's word and never mind the criticisms as .. we ought to obey God rather than man. Acts 5:29

Jesus speaking to his disciples after rebuking Peter said in Mark 8:35-36 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul.

It's a sad commentary when you realize the Churches have chosen political correctness and worldly ways over the ways of God, which in essence has led to the downward spiral of morality in this nation, and the few Churches and organizations which are trying to get the true Gospel out, are ridiculed, mocked and relegated to cult status.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 hits the nail on the head concerning today's world; 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Verse 5 should bite to the very soul of every Christian by taking a thorough examination of his or her heart; do we act out in a godly way and when out of sight revert back to our old selves, do we desire worldly pleasures over God's way, do we love our selves more than God, do we find excuses as to why we don't read and study the Bible, attend Church, keep the Sabbath? Is sports and Hollywood first on our list of pleasures, with God being relegated to the end of the line?

If we are truthful in our assesment of ourselves, then we
should be very ashamed of our fake relationship with Jesus, fall on our knees and cry out to God for mercy and forgiveness and follow the ways of the Apostles as they preached the true Gospel of Jesus Christ without sugarcoating.

Jesus warns us in Revelation 3:15-17 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked

Are you lukewarm? Jesus is describing the state of today's church in very vivid details just as Paul describes today's world in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and if we can look beyond our worldly wants and pleasures, we will realize, we are wretched, miserable, blind and naked. Friends we have but a short time before probation closes and Jesus calls his people home. God closed the door to the Ark after Noah and his family had entered, thereby ending the probation period for the lost. Seven days later destruction came without warning to the unrepentant.

Are you prepared to face Jesus?

Are you like Peter, or are you as Paul and Jesus describes the world and people of today?

The 3 score and 10 years (70) which God allotted to man is but a blink of the eye compared to eternity. Will you trade eternal happiness and peace for a blink of the eye pleasures? The choice is yours. Choose now whom you will serve. God or man.

The clock is ticking!

Its one minute till midnight!

Jeremiah 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved
