My Papa
has a long, wide stride
as He waits for me
to catch up
and walk
by His side.
He looks down at me
with all kinds of pride
and says,
"You're my sweet girl.
My favored one;
my treasured pearl.
You shimmer
as you glow from the Son.
My Son!
I will protect you
all of your life.
You're my daughter,
My only Son's wife.
I love you
with all of my heart
for I've known you
right from the start
of the world
I made just for you.
Don't be sad,
run or hide;
rather rush to my side --
that I may provide
a Papa's love
for the hole
in your heart,
my girl!"
