Eve then deceived
And ate the fruit -
Then gave Adam
New mankind's root
Sin that needed
Clothing to hide
Behind God's question:
"Why, do you deny?"
The stage was set
For all mankind -
For now was needed:
Was peace of mind
Seeking God's truth
Were those elite
And they did suffer
So much defeat
Abram to Samson
David to Paul
Were men who God
Used to make known
And trials suffered
But not in vain
For God provides;
He does sustain
As Heaven's star
Did usher in
The Savior Christ:
Hope for all sin
His truth proclaimed:
"My 'Abba' King"
Caused strife and vexed
Man's 'religious' thing
After the fact
Did mankind see
That Christ is God:
Salvation's plea
Christ died for sin -
And took man's place,
And fulfilled promise
Of God's great grace
