Enter To Worship--- Leave To Serve

When we as Christians go to the church of our choice to worship the Lord, we leave our cares and concerns at the door. It is so wonderful to have our total thoughts on our gracious and loving Savior Jesus Christ. We see in the Bible Psalm 95, Verses 6 and 7, " O come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand, To day if ye will hear His voice".

We come to hear a sermon, that the Lord has given His servant our Pastor to share with His believers. We keep our ears open to receive the message the Lord has prepared for us and it sometimes is not what we want to hear, but it is the Biblical truth.

As we leave the Lord's house of worship, we praise the Lord for the message that reached our hearts and gave us a boldness to reach out and speak to those we come in contact. The Good Word and the Saving Gospel is on our lips. We see in Romans, 1-16, " For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also the Greek".

When I was stationed with the Air Force in northern Michigan for four years., the land of lakes and forest was known for its heavy snowstorms and cold temperatures. There also were country churches that served the small villages and remote people. My family and I attended one of the small country churches and we soon noticed it was fired up for the Lord. The church family was so friendly and reached out to visitors and we did not feel like strangers in the Lord's house.

Here I noticed a sign posted over the worship area that has always reminded me of that church which my wife and family felt so comfortable being a member. It read " Enter To Worship --- Leave To Serve "

Trust we will be in the church of our choice this Sunday worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
