The Major Secret Of Overflowing Abundance

by Ngozi Nwoke

How we long for a net breaking catch! Many people wish, desire and pray for a one-time abundant harvest that will turn around their lives for the better. Some of them do all manner of things just to get this overflowing abundance. But the answer lies in sacrificial giving. This article tells you how to prepare to make great the harvest.

So He said, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had." - Luke 21:3-4 (NKJV)

So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time-houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-and in the age to come, eternal life - Mark 10:29-30 (NKJV)

Many people don't like sacrificial giving because it is really a sacrifice. It pinches the soul and body, though very healthy for the spirit. It is like the widow who gave out of her poverty; Jesus said she gave more than the others who gave out of their abundance. It is the quantity of what you are giving compared to what is left and the ease with which you are giving it. This is why it moves God to give you back in return overflowing abundance.

God's palm is extremely bigger than yours. So when you give Him sacrificially according to the size of your palm, He gives you back according to the size of His palm. Hallelujah! The world says "keep and receive" to get abundant harvest, God says give and give to get overflowing abundance.

As you give sacrificially your heavens are being filled, and like clouds full of rain waiting for the next moment to pour down, it pours down for you in its due season. For some, it may be a one-time sacrifice that will bring about the desired turnaround but for others it may be an accumulation of sacrifices. One thing though is sure, the covenant must speak. The covenant keeping God surely will cause the harvest to come. Remember seed-time and harvest shall not cease, Genesis 8:22.

Let's look at some scriptural examples and see how sacrificially giving worked for people.

In 1 Kings 17:7-16, The story of the Widow of Zarephath tells us how she sacrificed the last meal in the house for the man of God (Elijah) and how she ended up eating for MANY days with her household, including Elijah. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah. You can never go wrong obeying God. So, I encourage you to ask God what you should give sacrificially, obey and get set for your overflowing abundance.

Again in 2 Kings 4:8-37, the Shunamite woman continually sacrificed her time, money, energy and house for the man of God (Elisha) and one day God remembered her. In the process, she who was childless became a joyful mother of a son. As if that was not enough, when the enemy snatched the boy from her through death, God restored him back to her using the man of God. Her sacrificially giving caused an overflowing blessing to come to her. And so keep sowing the seed and one day, God will cause an overflowing abundance and restoration to come your way too.

Also Luke 5:3-9 records how Peter sacrificed his boat so that Jesus could preach in it after the night's ordeal: they had toiled all night and caught nothing. The scripture records that when Jesus was done with His preaching, He turned and asked them to let down their nets for a catch. When they obeyed Him they had a net breaking catch. This shows that giving sacrificially even during a challenging time will also yield a bountiful harvest. Actually, that is when it is sacrificial giving.

Lastly Jesus made it totally clear in Mark 10: 29-30 that whatever you sacrifice now, you will get it back hundredfold not just in heaven, as some people think, but first here on earth and afterwards eternal life, with persecution. Persecution? Yes, because of the hand of God upon your life.

So, do you want a net-breaking catch or an overflowing abundance that will turn your life around for the better? Sacrificial giving is the solution. Cash into it and reap all that it has for you.
