~The Tender Plant~

Our sins He bore in shame
That we might know His Name
He was taken to the Cross-
That the world might not be lost

Oppressed, afflicted and torn
Was mocked and put to scorn
Made His grave with the lowly
That we could be made Holy

The tender plant sprang forth
Will come again, back to earth
Our battles will then all be won
And all our work all done

We'll live in blessed peace
Our troubles will all cease
It will be glorious and grand
On that faraway strand
