Dear God-tracker

God-tracking is crossing the seas of desolation on dry ground, under the Blood of the Lamb.

After trekking for hours across the desert young Caleb's thoughts began to wander back to that night before their exodus from Egypt when the angel of death had moved over his village. His parents had slaughtered a lamb and placed its blood on the doorframes of their home. After eating that first Passover meal, they huddled together in the light of an oil lamp. Caleb could hear screams coming from outside the Hebrew sector. Children were mysteriously dying all over Egypt but they were safe under the blood. Now, looking up, Caleb saw a great obstacle to their freedom on the horizon: the Red Sea. Caleb was young and strong but he knew that even he would not be able to swim the vast waters to escape the Egyptian chariots now closing in on them. Yahweh had rescued them from death by the blood of the lamb the night before, but would he make a way for them through the sea of desolation ahead?

I thank God that Jesus, The Passover Lamb, was crucified during that auspicious Passover so many, many years ago. He was and still is sinless and innocent just like the spotless lamb of the Jewish Passover and yet the Lord God deemed it necessary for him to offer his blood to cover the doorposts of our lives so that death would pass us by. This is Good News, indeed. However, what about the rest of life's seas of desolation that lay ahead? Has God made a way beyond the cross?

As Caleb and the Israelites approached the sea with the Egyptian army close behind, God instructed Moses to raise his hand against its waves. As he did so, the Lord God performed a great miracle and parted the sea so that they could cross on dry land. God had indeed made a way for Caleb and his family, not only out of slavery but also across the obstacles that lay ahead of them.

Do you know this Passover Lamb? Have you submitted to God's call to admit your sins and ask Jesus into your life? Have you opened the door of your life and placed the Blood of the Lamb on your doorframe? Do it now and know that the same God who made a Way across the Red Sea for Caleb and his family will also make a Way for you across the obstacles of your life. After all, He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

God-tracking is crossing the seas of desolation on dry ground, under the Blood of the Lamb.

Every blessing

Look up and Fix Your Eyes on Jesus!

I take you at your word and stretch out my hand against these obstacles

Pray:
"Dear God, thank you for making a way for me to be freed from sin. Thank you for the Blood of Jesus, the Passover Lamb, who offered his blood that I may be forgiven. I confess my sins and repent in Jesus' name. I ask you to come into my life as I give myself to serve you, O Lord. Thank you too for making a way for me across the obstacles of life. Lord, I take you at your word and stretch out my hand against these obstacles and trust that you will make a way as you did for the Israelites during the Exodus. Lord, I put my trust in you. Amen."
