Couple Shops for New Vehicle to Transport Family to Church

Jerry and his wife, Jerri, pulled into the auto dealership with a sigh of relief.


"I'm glad we made the decision to buy a bigger vehicle," said Jerri.


"Me, too, Dear," Jerry replied. "I'm glad I listened when you suggested we do this. It was a great idea."


The salesperson, a young lady named Jordan, greeted Jerry and Jerri with a friendly smile. "My name is Jordan," she said. "I'm very happy to meet you. What type of vehicle are you looking for today?"


"It has to be bright yellow," gushed Jerri.


"Yes, it must be yellow," Jerry agreed.


"Not many people seem to be interested in yellow vehicles these days," Jordan observed. "What other requirements do you have?"


"We're looking for a newer model vehicle," said Jerri. "No more than five years old."


Jerry emphasized another point. "We want a low-mileage vehicle," he said. "And, if possible, one that still has some factory warranty."


He added, "It has to be suitable for an entire family, too. A vehicle we can use to transport our entire family to church."


"We also want a vehicle that has been well maintained," stated Jerri. "We don't want a vehicle that has been used as a garbage can."


"What kind of car are you looking for?," asked Jordan.


"Oh, we're not looking for a car," Jerri laughed. "We need something much bigger than a car. Our family is so big, no car would ever hold all of us."


"How about an SUV or a van?," asked Jordan.


"No, that won't work," Jerry said, moving his head from side to side.


"How many kids do you have?," asked Jordan.


"We have 15 sons and daughters still living at home," Jerry said.


"And a son and daughter who have gotten married and started their own families," said Jerri. "We also have four grandchildren."


"Wow!," exclaimed Jordan. "Sounds to me like you need a school bus instead of a car."


"Exactly!," exclaimed Jerri. "A nice big shiny yellow school bus. Do you have any in stock?"


"No we don't," said Jordan. "I don't think any of the car dealers in this town have ever sold a school bus. I suggest you call the local churches to see if any of them has one for sale."


"Thanks, Jordan, we'll do that," said Jerry. "And I want to tell you when we find our perfect school bus we plan to paint it red."


"Red?," asked Jordan.


"Yes," said Jerri. "Jesus died on the cross to save us from sin, and we want the bus to be red to remind everyone of the blood He shed on the Cross for us!"
