Words of Wisdom
by Cinda Carter
4/27/2013 / Poetry
Words of Wisdom...Comes from Jesus.
The beginning of wisdom stems from the fear of the Lord.
Through a walk in His Word.
The kind of fear that stems out of respect
Through a request from Jesus.
It is to trust and obey,
Obedient to Him as we pray.
If a man lacks wisdom
Let him ask of God the Son.
Through God's Word,
He makes it clear and sure.
He will lead us with the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit gives witness of Jesus.
The Word of God comes to life,
To the living will of Christ.
We believe we are His
For Jesus has adopted us with
The blood of Jesus.
We know He is with us.
Jesus chose to die for us
Because in this world no one was found just.
Jesus did not rely on His feelings like the world does.
It was an act of His will through God's love.
By accepting our Savior
We will no longer have to endure.
The wages of our sins,
So, that we may enter in.
We enter into His rest
With each new trial and test.
We no longer need to go by our feelings,
For they are sometimes deceiving.
It's an act of our will,
Not on how we feel.
We submit to Jesus our Lord,
The One we love and adore.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever." Psalm 111: 10 KJV
"If any of you lack wisdom, let Him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraided not; and it shall be given him." James 1:5 KJV
