All Things Become New

by Cinda Carter
6/10/2013 / Poetry

When under the shadow of His wings
Protected through Jesus our King.
Without even realizing He is there,
God shows His goodness to all mankind while we are here.

Jesus draws us near
He uses our circumstances, even our fears.
The Lord knows we are a lost human race,
So, God sent Jesus to give us His grace.

When we realize that we are in need of a Savior
To fill our void hearts with a love that is greater.
Greater than anyone could imagine or ask for,
No one could fill that void in our hearts but the Master.

When we accept Jesus as Lord in our own lives
Our sins are cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
He brings us into His fold,
No longer to be under the grasp of the enemies hold.

We become babes in Jesus Christ
Through His word, Jesus starts planting the seeds of life.
How could I have not seen this before says, the believer,
I was under Satan's influence, the prince of darkness, that deceiver.

Now into God's word I find myself being nourished
No longer under the curse to perish.
It's because of Jesus that I can bask in His love,
Sent by our Heavenly Father above.

No longer living in the flesh
But by the Spirit of God instead of death.
The old life is dead,
No longer to raise its ugly head.

Through Jesus the old life is crucified with Christ
By faith in my Lord and Savior there is a new life.
All things are possible with God, it is for us to choose.
When we choose Jesus, the old life is proclaimed dead and
"All Things Become New."

"Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection" Romans 6:4-5
