Who Is Your God?

by Olawale Ogunsola
6/25/2013 / Salvation

Have you taken time to ask yourself, as well as others, questions about your Creator: God? Have you meditated about God and His great works? Are you one of those who believe that "there is no God"? If so, the Psalmist has an answer for you in verse one of his 14th song:
"The fool has said in his heart, 'there is no God."

Why has he said so?

The reason is that "...the fool walks in darkness..."

Therefore, this message is not to answer a fool!

To someone who believes that there is God, the question now is: who is your God?

Many have faith in man-made gods. 'For all the gods of the people are idols...'
Such gods have mouths but they can't speak. They have eyes but can't see. They have ears but they cannot hear. They have noses but they can't smell. Their hands cannot handle anything. They cannot walk with their feet. Those who made them were like them so was (is) everyone who trusts in them.

Are you one of them?

Some people believe in a merciless god who has given them every right to kill, wound or destroy others who do not share their faith. They are convinced that it is by so doing that they will enter paradise.

About this group of people, the Lord has this to say,
"Yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God's service. And these things they will do..., because they have not known the Father, nor Me."
This group also serve a barren god who is never ready to play the role of a father. They are not sure of where they are going after this life nor what will happen to them after this life.

Be honest with yourself, who is your God?

Are you serving a god that allows you to commit all forms of wrong doings or a god that is "merciful and compassionate" but allows you to revenge at will? Is he a god that has no room for repentance?

Who is your God?

Be informed that there is a true God who created Heaven and Earth. This God loves you. He knows that you are neck deep in wrong acts from which you cannot rescue yourself.

The true God had made a provision for your evil acts so that they will not have dominion over you. This is in His only begotten Son in whom He is well pleased.

He is ready to be a father to you. Are you ready to be His child?

This is not a religious issue but reconciliation with your Creator, God. He loves you. Therefore, love Him today so He can love you more. He says,
"I love them that love Me, and those that seek me early shall find Me."

SEEK HIM NOW!
Believe in the name of the Lord. Why?

"He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

I congratulate you on your coming across this message. Therefore it is better for you to turn to God through Jesus Christ.

Why?

Because "Neither is there salvation in any other name ; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

Therefore, mention your misdeeds one by one before God. Turn away from all of them today and forever. Tell Jesus to come into your heart now and remain there forever. Tell Him to be your Lord and Savior for the rest of your life.

Henceforth, walk in His love by obeying His commands. The Lord assures, "And behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ..."
Henceforth, follow Christ and serve the true Living God.
