Microwave Chocolate Gravy (MCG)
There's still an Art to it!

Through out my younger days, my mother, grandmother and several other ladies in my life made yummy chocolate gravy on stove top! For those who are raising their eyebrows at this, yes, it is chocolate gravy poured over biscuits and served at breakfast!

So, I as grew up, making chocolate gravy was always done over a hot stove top. You would put all the ingredients in and stand stirring with a spoon with extreme caution to not get burned yourself and in constant stirring mold to not burn the gravy that we, very impatient, kids and grandkids could not wait to get on our plates!

One of my very favorite breakfast meals, but hated the demand of making it! I could not tell you to this day who she was, but a wonderful lady at my wedding shower blessed me with a gift!
(Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.James 1:17)

A recipe for Microwave Chocolate Gravy

Yes, you guessed it, I have not cooked chocolate gravy by stove top ever since! O, yes don't get me wrong I have had several question the taste of something coming out of the microwave verses the original form of cooking "stovetop"!

I will admit that over the years it has take sometime and some awful thick, lumpy or runny gravy to figure out, that though it may be simpler and less risky, there is still an Art to making good MCG!
(therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord knowing that you labor is not in vain in the Lord 1 Corinthians 15:58)

Let us start with the ingredients. In order is very important.
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
3 TLBS coco

Now, at this point you have poured all three of the dry ingredients together, you now take a wooden spoon and mix, mix and mix until these three very different textures are mixed together to a fine powder. No lumps or roughness, just a smooth powdery mix.
(And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28)

2 cups of milk
(as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 1 Peter 2:2)

Then after the dry ingredients are mixed well, you will make a hole; go straight for the heart of the powdered mix. Slowly, patiently and at a steady stream pour the pure white milk into the mix. While you are pouring be sure with the other hand to stir, stir and stir until the last of the milk is gone and you have a smooth creamy mix.
(that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness..Romans 10:9-10)

Here is my favorite step and remember all has to be done in order!
(In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will direct (Straighten) your paths Proverbs 3:6)

You will now take your smooth creamy mixture and place it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Now, don't walk away, don't leave your mixture. As soon as the timer goes off you take it out. It will be all foamed up at the top trying and yearning to be the final and perfect mix. So at this point you stir, stir and stir, there should be no lumps, roughness or foam.

Your will now place your MCG back in the microwave for 3 minutes and again never step away, cause as soon as the 3 minutes are up, you need to be right there to take it out.
(Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you," Hebrews 13:5)

This time as you ever so gently, remove the MCG from the microwave, take to heart that it is no longer lukewarm. But it is HOT! Hot and almost ready to serve.
("So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Revelation 3:6.saints He wants us to be HOT for Him and be ready to serve Him!)

We are almost there, there are only two more ingredients. Two small steps, but two very important steps, so now we add..

2tlbs of butter
1-2 tsps of vanilla
(How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103)

Mix these two ingredients in and stir, stir and stir. You just added two simple steps that really flavor your MCG that makes those you serve want more, more and more!

So now, Go and Serve.
("If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me, and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. John 12:26)
