#1. I'm tired of carrying you.

I don't mind bearing you on my back; it's part of my job.

But I can't carry you forever. There so many baby Christians crowding my bent back; my spinal column is about to snap. You are old enough now, so get off my overburdened back. Make room for the young ones.

Grow up.

After all these heavy-teaching-laden years you ought to be a spiritual parent by now, not still suckling your bottle strapped to my burning back.

#2. Stop stomping on my wife to get to me.

You've turned my wife into a doormat.

You nonchalantly step on her on your way to me, ignoring her completely in the process. My sweet partner has turned into a sour, sulky, and irritable woman as a result.

She is hurt beyond words.

The other day she told me that she feels like a discarded sweet wrapper.

And while I'm at it, please leave my kids alone. Don't pressurize them with your silly and ridiculous expectations. Give them space to grow.

#3. I need encouragement too.

You forget that I'm also human like you.

I bleed. I get hurt. I get discouraged. Just like everyone on this planet, at some point, I need a surge of oxygen into my sagging soul to keep me going.

Without your support, I collapse sometimes.

This thing is a symbiotic relationship, not a one-way street, so you need to boost me once in a while with words of encouragement.

Many times I've thought of walking away from it all because of these and other pressures. This job is tough enough on its own, even before you factor in the intense battle with relentless dark forces. I need all the help I can get. Please help me otherwise you'll lose me.
