Renewed Day by Day

Every day I'm being renewed,
in the recess of my mind
as I read the Good Word
I find rebirth of every kind.

As my faith is being restored,
my trust in God improves
I can see through my life
how the Holy Spirit moves.

A new man in me He makes,
as I put off the former things
my strength is refreshed
as I grow my eagle wings.

A clean heart He bestows,
a transformed spirit lives in me
and the joy of my salvation
keeps me from getting too weary.

Though my body is perishing,
I'm being renewed day by day
and the inward man is rejoicing
singing hallelujah and hooray!
