An Awesome Family

by
6/17/2007 / Church Life

As a born-again Christian, one is automatically integrated as part of the heavenly family of God. Our victorious entry into HIS heavenly gates by salvation, is celebrated with great joy. God welcomes us into HIS place, which is pure, holy and undefiled. At this juncture, we begin a different new walk of life, jointly with the rest of the God's children.

God knows of this walk set before us that HE planted spiritual helpers to provide the necessary support and encouragement. Their help is essential when we face the initial teething problems in our relationship with the Heavenly Father. Even as we are maturing with God, their timely and heart-felt assistance lift off the many burdens on our shoulders. We somewhat grew closer, as we offer prayers, supplications, worship and praises together with one voice towards God. Through revelation from above, we realized the gift of the Holy Spirit manifests powers to bind those which are good, and break which are evil. HIS gift has allowed true love, true faith and true hope to be shared with one another. And that which is constructed in true godliness, changes lives and unites men towards God.

A relationship with God, built on this partnership with spiritual helpers and the Holy Spirit, is wholesome. It discards away our selfishness to look after our own matters only, but to care for others as well. The turning point is when we are on our knees praying fervently for our friends' troubles, as much as they are our very own. It replaces our selfish thought processes, whereby now we forgive those who have hurt us, be compassionate to the poor, merciful to the weak and intercede for our enemies. Our whole perspective of trying to lead a "zero-failure tolerance" as individuals, are not materializing, as we consider others, as part of our lives.

All of the works done accordance to God's will have not gone unnoticed. HE pours out HIS abundant blessings, of which we rejoice and share together joyously. This is a theory of life most non-Christians, would reject or disbelieve. But, as God's children, we know our Heavenly Father, who expresses HIS love from the bottom of HIS heart for all.

Feed our bellies with Your substance, oh God! Remove our harden hearts of stone, and grant unto us hearts of flesh, as we learn to set aside our desires in search for your truth, to guide more others into the Your kingdom of paradise.

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many..." (1 Co 12:13-14)

I am a working Christian adult with a passion to write on personal intimacy with God, as lead by the Holy Spirit.
