Give The Gift of Love

Before, I received the gift,
that forever changed my life
there was no hope or peace
only torment, conflict and strife.

I walked this earth alone,
I felt lost and forsaken
it was as if I were dead
my soul someone had taken.

I lived in constant fear,
my mind was full of doubt
I felt as if the whole world
had locked and shut me out.

But, then Jesus came,
and offered to me this gift
and as I accepted it
all my worries began to lift.

He gave me hope and faith,
as my heart opened to His love
He poured down grace and mercy
from the heavens up above.

Now I walk as one of His,
no longer am I in despair
for I know my Lord loves me
and my burdens He now bares.

Before, I embraced the gift of Jesus,
I was doomed for eternal hell
now I know with my Savior
in eternity with Him, I'll dwell.
