Oh God Have Mercy On Me Throughout This New Year

A new year, a new beginning; the old year has gone and a fresh start has just begun! What does this year have for you and how can you tap into the best it has for you? It will take the mercy and favour of God to enjoy the goodies of this year. This article tells you how to tap into the mercies of God and cry out, "oh God, have mercy on me"

O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endures forever. To him who alone does great wonders: for his mercy endures forever. To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endures for ever - Psalm 136:3-5 (KJV)

You shall arise, and have mercy on Zion: for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, is come - Psalm 102:13 (KJV)

But I have trusted in your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation - Psalm 13:5 (KJV)

Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endures for ever - Psalm 118:4 (KJV)

A new year has finally come, and whatever was the outcome of last year now has an opportunity to have a fresh start and have a better outcome. But you will require the mercies of God not to be consumed - Lamentations 3:22

The flesh is prone to errors but the Lord's mercies prevail over judgment - James 2:13. The accuser of brethren, the devil, is ever ready to accuse you (Revelations 12:10) and remind God of His word. Therefore, you need God's mercies upon your life to be steps ahead of your accuser.

God's mercy is the reason why you were not consumed last year. The enemy meant last year to be full of misery for you but the Lord's mercy prevailed. You need to depend on God's mercy and consciously seek it this year. The enemy will surely gather against you but the mercy of God will cause them to fall for your sake- Isaiah 54:15

The time to favour you has come but you need the mercy of God upon your life for you to see it's fulfillment. His mercy will cause the wonders of God to manifest in your life (Psalm 136), release the wisdom you need to succeed and give you the ability and strength to enjoy them.

How to tap into the mercies of God

Confess and forsake your sins - Proverbs 28:13 (KJV)

Sin keeps you from receiving the mercy of God. Put away sin and you will qualify as a candidate for the Lord's mercy.

A cry of mercy, God will not overlook - Mark 10: 47-49, Matthew 15:22, Matthew 17:25

God's ears are never shut against the cry for mercy. A cry of mercy says you can't help yourself but that God only can help you. It tells of your faith in God and His ability to help you. So cry out, "oh God, have mercy on me"

Blind Bartimaeus cried out for mercy and Jesus stood still and beckoned on him to come. The crowd tried to dissuade him from crying out but he continued until he got Jesus' attention - Mark 10:47-49. And Jesus granted him his desire: his eyes were opened.

Show mercy to others - James 2:13

You will have judgment without mercy if you don't show mercy. The scriptures say that you will reap what you sow - Galatians 6:7. Sow mercy and you will in turn reap mercy.

Say continually that God's mercy endures for ever Psalm 118:4

Mark 11:23 tells us that we shall have whatsoever we say, so it is wisdom to declare the endurance of the Lord's mercies so that you can see it manifest in your life. The more you say it, the more you believe in it and get God's attention.

Trust in God's mercy - Psalm 13:5

You really need to go beyond just believing to trusting in God's mercies if you are to win the battle between you and the enemy. Your faith may fail (Luke 22:32) but your trust will endure - Daniel 3

In conclusion, your victory, joy and peace this year will largely depend on your connection with God's mercies. His mercies will release the grace you need to succeed. Paul testified that his success in ministry was by the grace of God - 1 Corinthians 15:10. You too need the grace and the mercies of God give you the access. Cry out today, "Oh God, have mercy on me" Happy New Year.
