Dear God-tracker

GOD-TRACKING IS FULFILLING YOUR DREAMS BY GOD'S GRACE, DESPITE DISAPPOINTMENT

Colin grew up in a very sheltered home environment. He attended Sunday School every Sunday where he heard many wonderful stories about God. He loved these stories and firmly believed in the God of the Bible. At the tender age of 10 young Colin gave his heart to Jesus, was baptised by the age of 14 and baptised in the Holy Spirit by 16. Like any boy of his age, Colin had great dreams of grandeur, but sadly he was never given the opportunity to explore his dreams. He grew up in a very controlled and restricted environment. He had very few friends and was seldom allowed out the home. Now, looking back on his early life, Colin was consumed with anger and bitterness for a childhood wasted. "How could God have allowed me to grow up so stifled?" he would often think.

Disappointment can lead to despair and despair can lead to anger and anger to bitterness. Bitterness consumes the soul and manifests as unforgiveness and vengeance. However, grace, on the other liberates the soul and gains victory! Jesus took all the consequences of sin upon himself when he went to the cross. Those consequences included disappointment, despair, anger, bitterness and unforgiveness. Didn't he pray, "Father forgive them they do not know what they are doing?" Jesus was abused and beaten then mercilessly executed on trumped up charges, yet he was not consumed with bitterness, even after the resurrection. The Bible tells us to look to Jesus and take his example in how he looked through his trial and saw himself victorious on the other side of the cross.

If Colin had learned earlier in life to look beyond his circumstances and see himself as God saw him then he would have grown into the man of influence and wonder he dreamed of becoming. In the process of seeking to track God's plans for his life, if he had acknowledged that his Lord and God was already on the other side of his trials, then he would not have been so consumed with bitterness. And if Colin had walked in forgiveness grown from grace then he would have realised that God's grace was sufficient to guide him toward those dreams of grandeur.

God-tracking is fulfilling your dreams by God's grace, despite disappointment

Every blessing

Verse of the Week

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Quote of the Week A Sample of Dudley's Fave Quotes "I am not what I ought to be. I am not what I want to be. I am not what I hope to be. But still, I am not what I used to be. And by the grace of God, I am what I am." --- John Newton

Don't Give Up, Look Up! Look up and Fix Your Eyes on Jesus! Lord, it's only by your grace that I am what I am and by your grace that I will be what you plan for me to be
Pray: "Dear Lord, I want to ask you for forgiveness for holding a grudge in my life. Lord, I'm sorry for any bitterness and unforgiveness. I choose to forgive and let go of all grievances that I hold against people who have offended me in the past. I let it all go and choose to show grace to those who have hurt me. Thank you for your grace to me in dealing with my past and to looking to the future. Lord, it's only by your grace that I am what I am and by your grace that I will be what you plan for me to be. Your grace is enough. Amen. "
