Salient in evening's scene
twilight does not curl like a snake,
it resonates with a parallel
of going and coming
in the midst of temperatures
with minus degrees
a pole-lamp with curlicue
twisting would provide hand
warming, only catch is the demand
of a firm grip, and hardy
for those who dare take the risk.
From afar we feel stiffness in
our joints, snowshoes
drifting apart in journey's
return. And we thrill at the sight
of being home again.
Richard enjoys writing and has many poetry e-books listed on he and his wife's Author Page: www.amazon.com/Esther-and-Richard-Provencher/e/B00O8K9UKE. PTL.
