Am lazy!

I have prayed so many unscriptural prayers without knowing and i just wonder why those prayers weren't answered. Since I began my quest to search for knowledge God has opened me to so many things I was ignorant about. Before I start talking about the things I have found, I will explain the various ways God has spoken to me.

On numerous occasions I seems to have questions on my mind, I realised the more I thought about those questions, the more I opened myself up for answers everywhere i was told its called the law of attractions. Since I started to invest in books early this year, I mean books relating to what I want answers for or what I want to see happen in my life and career, I learnt that God gives you answers to your questions in different ways, the only problem is that we don't accept those as answers because we have been made to believe that if we don't hear an audible and scary voice, its definitely not God!

Back to my discoveries, I used to be among those who pray to have more understanding than my teachers (Psa 119:99) or have an excellent spirit like Daniel (Dan 6:3) but most of the time having failed to carry out sufficient research and study, I end up looking stupid because it is apparent there ain't no iota of understanding/ knowledge coming from my mouth, why? its because understanding does not jump on people! It is not a product of fasting.

Like me and many people we seems to love claiming and professing scriptures/promises without FULLY obeying all that is required (Duet 28:1), we seems to love quoting scriptures in isolation, for instance, having more understanding than your teachers will require you to follow the instructions two verses before which is MEDITATE ALL DAY (Psa 119:97), having an excellent spirit like Daniel connotes having the same character he had which is LOVE FOR BOOKS (Dan 9:2).

Daniel had an excellent spirit and was distinguished from his mates because he loved to read books, Jesus from the age of twelve had the habit of going to the temple to read and listen to teachers (Luke 2:46), Timothy was encouraged by Paul to have the habit of studying (2 Tim 2:15) the more these people invested time to read, study and meditate, the more they stood out. If you want to make your way prosperous and have good success (Josh 1:8) as they all did, if you want to command results in your choosen fields, you have got to follow the same pattern these successful people followed. In one of the books I read, one of the authors explained that there are materials of successful people out there who have done or doing exactly what you want to do, people with sense will invest in those materials, learn from their mistakes, inculcate their secrets and duplicate their results.

Understanding, knowledge and wisdom does not come from the skies, yes you pray for it by asking God to lead you to where you will get those revelations or answers to your prayers, you don't just pray and fast and do nothing. For example, I asked God to help me in my finances, I asked God to guide me how to go about it and in response to my question, God instructed me to read books in that line.

As I searched for relevant books to read, I came across a financial article on the web (that can't be by mistake, right?), I discovered that the writer (Sean Hymann) had written a book called 'Six steps to financial success'. As I took time to read and make the decision to act on everything written in the book, I discovered other questions I had were being answered through links to other books and authors (if you want a list of those books, drop me an email), wisdom, instruction and understanding of a truth must be bought (Prov 23:23) either with time or with money.

I enjoy reading motivational books and the bible hence as i am inspired i find myself either composing a song or poetry. I call them my moments of intimacy with the Most High God.
