God is Here

God is here. Can you see Him? He really is. Ask Him. Ask Him if He's here. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Do you believe that He will? That takes faith. Do you have faith or do you need God to prove to you that He is here before you will have faith?

"Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed, blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed.'" John 20:29 NIV

I know God is with me. I know He is here. I've seen His work in my life. It wasn't by sitting back and waiting for God to show Himself before I would believe. It was by faith. It was by asking Him to move in my life and then watching for Him. Not watching to see IF He would do something, but instead watching to see WHAT He would do.

It takes some effort, some faith, to see God at work.

We live in a world that is designed more and more to hide the presence of God from us and distract us from seeking Him. It takes no effort at all to miss Him and His great love and plans for us. It seems easy to live that way. As I sit right now, my computer, my smart phone, and the TV remote control are all within reach. I can pick up any of those and be lost in whatever I choose with very little effort. It's just so easy.

But the cost is so very high. I might be comfortable and happy in the right now, but if I don't seek God in faith in my daily life, then right now is all I have. I give up my life with God and His plans and promises for me just to be comfortable in the moment.

God is here. He is with you. He is not hiding. But you have to look. You have to look, knowing He is there. He has not hidden behind anything, it is you that placed something in front of Him. Move those things and seek Him, knowing you will find Him.

Not only are my computer, phone and remote sitting within reach, but so is my Bible. I choose it first. I seek God there. I know I will see Him.

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14

I want to find the narrow road that leads to life. But I have to push aside the distractions and seek it. I need to seek God.

God is here. I know it.
