Spinning Our Wheels

Getting tired of spinning your wheels? Is that day-by-day rigorous rut routine wearing you out?

Admittedly, at times we feel like we're getting nowhere in our efforts. I once owned and faithfully used a stationary exercise bike. My husband, watching me spin my wheels joked about me going nowhere.

Multitudes, having the best intentions, are only spinning their wheels when they try to get to heaven through self-efforts. Hard as they might try, their works will not get them off the ground! Saving grace, accessed through faith, is the only way to gain admittance.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJ)." Let's stop spinning our wheels and start bending our knees!
