If Jesus Christ demands today
That which my heart cherishes best
But is against His perfect way
Won't I lay it down to be blest?

Be my greatest desire
All to Thee I surrender!

Vs2:
If the Lord Jesus biddeth me
To give up my hidden treasure
Which steals away my love for Him
Oh, may I do it with pleasure!

Vs3:
If there still be one thing I lack
And the Lord whom I would follow
Charges me to go and sell all
May I not turn back in sorrow

Vs4:
Anything that I can't give up;
Or my heart cleaves to and adore
Aside from my Saviour Jesus
Will enslave me, it's an idol!

Vs5:
O far be it that something else
Comes inbetween our love, Jesus
Anything short of righteousness
Help me to not partake in such
