When Will Nigeria Manifest Her Glory?

And if it is hard for the righteous to be saved what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" (1 Pet 4: 17-18, NIV).

PART 3

THE EMERGENCE OF A NEW NIGERIA

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing A NEW THING! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland" (Isaiah 43:18 -19, NIV).
Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God said, about four years ago (2004), in a prophecy: "God will quietly begin to lay the FOUNDATION of A NEW NIGERIA." 7
Dr. Jonathan David of the Full Gospel Centre, all the way from the Asian country of Malaysia visited Nigeria in 2003 and spoke of the NEW NIGERIA in a prophetic utterance saying, "... It shall be called the NIGERIA OFGOD..." 8
I love how Pastor Tunde Bakare put it. He is one of the leading crusaders for a New Nigeria. He is a prominent prophet who knows more about this subject than most preachers here.
He said, "If there is New Delhi (in India), there was Old Delhi. If there is New York, there was Old York. If there is New Jerusalem (Jerusalem to come), there is Old Jerusalem (Jerusalem that is now). So long as these things are true, there will be a New Nigeria" 9 (paraphrased).
The question on many hearts is, "How will it be done?" What I know is that, with God all things are possible. He is the Lord God of all flesh; nothing is too difficult for him.
By the same power through which he made the heavens and the earth and everything in them, he will cause the New Nigeria to emerge in His own proper time.
On the other hand, there is a divine due process for the emergence of the New Nigeria.
The Scripture says, "And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die it bringeth forth much fruit" (Jn 12: 23-24).
Similarly, Paul wrote, "What a foolish question! You will find the answer in your own garden! When you put a seed into the ground it doesn't grow into a plant unless it dies first.
And when the green shoot comes up out of the seed, it is very different from the seed you first planted. For all you put into the ground is a dry little seed of wheat, or whatever it is you are planting,
Then God gives a BEAUTIFUL NEW BODY just the kind he wants it to have; a different kind of plant grows from each kind of seed" (1Cor 15:36-38, TLB).
He continued, " For one star differeth from another star in GLORY It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in GLORY: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power" (l Cor 15:14, 43).
We can conclude from these two scriptures that as the Old Nigeria disappears, so the New Nigeria appears.
The old must first 'die' before the new can emerge. Some old beliefs, structures (political, economic, social and religious), orders, laws, practices, traditions, norms, customs, etc must first die.
Really, some 'old generation' leaders who are hindering the progress of the nation and of the church must 'go' (literally or figuratively). Only after this will the new spring forth for all to see.
I remember the joy I had when God showed me the New Nigeria in a prophetic dream years ago. It saw in a particular place a giant structure under construction but at a crossroads [at an x-junction]. It was probably completely different from any kind of building I had ever seen. I can't explain it but it looked so real. After waking up, I must have reasoned, "So it's a dream."
In fact, it was not built with the kinds of blocks I'm familiar with for the whole thing appeared huge and gorgeous.
You see, the blocks are people. These are mostly the new generation of people who will fear God and serve the nation with integrity and love.
That particular crossroads [x-junction] divides that particular community into four parts. You see, we need to pray fervently that Nigeria will not split into four parts for the New Nigeria to emerge!

SINNER'S CONFESSION
If you are not yet born-again, say this:
I choose to repent today. Also I choose to believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose up for my justification.
The Scripture says, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom 10:9).
Therefore, I believe in Jesus in my heart and confess Him as my Lord. Now I am born-again (Amen).
 
SAY THIS ALOUD TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT
Also Jesus said, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses" (Acts 1:8).
And on the day of Pentecost "All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:4).
Therefore, I receive the Holy Spirit by faith right now and I begin to speak in an unknown tongue (unlearned tongue) as He gives me the utterance.
I command every foul spirit [spirit of fear, spirit of unbelief, spirit of doubt, religious spirit, unforgiving spirit] wanting to hinder me to stop in its evil operation in my life in Jesus' name.
Thank you God for filling me with your Spirit in Jesus' name (Amen).
