How to Survive in a Messed Up World

As I watch the news, read the newspapers, view online reporting sites, I see a lot of changes going on and these changes are not good.

The America of twenty years ago was so different than the America that I see and know today. I love this great nation and always have, but there are people among us who really want to destroy this nation from within and from without. We live in a day and hour when we cannot believe everything we hear, but when we begin to see things happening with our own eyes, that's a whole different story.

Just in case you haven't noticed, there are evil spirits at work in America. There are spirits of antichrist which are now operating all over the place. It's okay to talk about any religion in existence, but when it comes to talking about Christianity there's been a huge change. The persecution is beginning. It's time to prepare ourselves now for the onslaught from hell. It's time to get right with Jesus and dig our heels in deep, because our adversary knows that his time is short. If we are going to make it in the evil times that are coming, we must be steadfast in our faith and love for Jesus. We must be willing to do whatever it takes to stand up for our Christian beliefs and our wonderful Savior.

Our leaders are passing laws that are lawless laws. People are accepting these laws and changes being made by our leaders as though God is pleased with it all. God is not pleased with it all and I believe that He has been lifting His hand of protection off of this great nation because we have made it very clear that we are going to do our own thing, we are going to sin against Him and not feel quilty about it because we now have laws that say it's okay to sin against God and His holy word. Get ready, because some huge wake up calls are coming to America and to the church. God cannot and will not bless our sin.

The church is changing too. It's getting more and more difficult to tell a Christian from an unsaved person because the Christians are doing the very same things the lost people are doing. They dress like the world, they talk like the world, they sin just like the world and this is all supposed to be okay with God. It's not okay with God. God's standard for living is found in His Holy Word. The problem today is that people don't want to read the word and apply it to their own lives. They are hearers of the word but not doers.

James 1:22 says, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."

So this verse tells me that we are deceiving ourselves when we are not doing what the word says to do! How huge is that? How many of us are deceived today?

1 John 2:15-17 says, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."

Do you see that last sentence? But he who DOES THE WILL OF GOD abides forever. Are we doing the will of God or are we doing the exact opposite of His will?

These are the last of the Last Days before the Lord returns for His Bride. If the Bride is not ready, the Bride will not be meeting the Lord when He comes. But those who are ready will meet Him! Oh dear friends, don't you want to be prepared and ready when He comes or do you want to be left behind?

When is the Lord returning for His Spotless Bride? Some say it could be anytime. Some say that a great falling away must take place first and the Anti-Christ must be revealed. Well, all I can say is that I am already seeing a great falling away from the faith. People who were once on fire for God have fallen into error and are moving farther and farther away from the truth. They have been deceived to follow after false teaching that does not line up with the true gospel message of Jesus and His Word. Many now think they can sin against God and not repent or confess their sins because grace covers. You won't find this phrase "grace covers" anywhere in God's word. Grace gives us the ability or enablement to NOT sin against God.

The Bible teaches that Christians must repent and confess their sins. These hyper-grace teachers of today are leading many people astray. The Bible is quite clear regarding repentance and confession of sin. Very clear.

Things are changing. People are changing. Our belief systems are changing. If we are changing because we have aligned ourselves with God's word that is awesome! But if we are living our lives in a way that is totally against what God says in His word, we are standing on dangerous ground. It's really time for all of us to do a heart checkup on ourselves. It's time for all of us to repent and confess our sins and get things right with Jesus.

There are some really dark times coming and many in the body of Christ are not ready for that which is yet to come. We've grown cold towards God and the things of God. We've become lawless and indifferent to Jesus and His word. We must choose this day whom we are going to serve. If we are not willing to die for Jesus and our Christianity, then we are not ready for what is coming. If we are not rooted and grounded in God, we will not be able to stand in the coming days, months, and years prior to His coming.

I'm praying for all of us, including myself, that we get so on fire for Jesus that there will not be one compromising bone in us. I'm praying that we will not bow down to any antichrist spirit. We will not bow down to any lawless law. We will not bow down to the gods of this world, but we will bow down only to Jesus.

Jesus is so real. He is so awesome. We really do need to get to know Him more than we do right now. Our lives should be a living testimony to all who see us, that we are God's children, His sons and daughters, and we are not ashamed of Him. We must love Him so much that we are willing to do whatever it takes to serve Him and share His gospel to all who still need to hear it.

Many people are lost and dying and they are waiting on us to do what God has called us to do. Are we going to step up to the occasion and obey God or are we going to continue to "play" church and not be the church that God has called us to be? The church should not look like the world and we should not be living like the world. We should look different because we have the HOLY SPIRIT living within us. We should be living our lives according to His HOLY WORD. We serve a HOLY GOD. It's time to clean the house, so to speak, get our lives in godly order so that we can be about the Father's business in the here and now.

Time is running out. Let's stop playing games with God. Let's stop playing games with ourselves. Let's make a choice today to live for Jesus in a real radical way.
