Stage One Of A Lasting Relationship.

One area of God's work that suffers serious attacks is marriage. The home is the target of the regular and consistent enemy of man, the Devil. He knows fully that if a marriage fails, all members of that home are his potential disciples. They can easily fall prey to his antics.

Every serious minded fellow craves a lasting home but are not aware of many things involved to achieve this. So, let us consider the first of the three stages of every marriage. Note that each stage demand's different actions. You must be prepared to act right. Action gets things done.

STAGE ONE OF A LASTING MARRIAGE.
There are three stages of a lasting marriage. Marriage is like a day. It breaks (morning) and grows into afternoon and evening before couples bid each other good night. This is a must for mankind: a night will come, you can only prepare for but cannot avoid it.

The dawn of every marriage is where LOVE comes in fresh. It can be initiated by either party and approved by the other with ALL sincerity of purpose.

The rate at which marriages collapse these days is astounding and sad. This was not the original plan of God, the Initiator of marriage.

A genuine LOVE is the foundation on which any lasting relationship is built. The stronger the foundation, the better the relationship.

The foundational love of a marriage must first begin with the Truth, Jesus Christ. The Lord is the truth. Therefore, both party in marriage must first love Him unreservedly. Gospel according to Saint Mark puts it this way,
"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your strength.
... You shall love your neighbor as yourself. " Mark 12: 30- 31. NKJV.

Let me put it this way,
"Also, you must love the Lord your God with the whole of your spirit, with the whole of your emotions,
with the whole of your mental faculties, and with the whole of your physical energy and features.
You must love others as yourself wishing them all the good things you wish yourself."

Doing this means that you will draw (water of love) from the well of love for the Lord your God for yourself and others, especially your spouse. Do you know what? The sweetest part of this is that the well cannot run dry.

Then the Psalm writer is right to say,
"Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;" Psalm 127:1a& b
The sad thing about marriage situation today is that people have so many ALTERNATIVES to the Lord through which they build their houses (homes). At the end of the day, the marriage colapsed into ruins.

Loving God first is building your marrriage on a solid rock. All other means of building it is as good as doing so on the sand.

According to the Holy Bible, there are three events that will prove the strength of every marriage at any stage:
1, There will be rain. Rain will descend and coldness and other things which will become challenges will follow.
2. Flooding will come. Flood that will put your spirit, emotions, mental energy and physical body to task either simultaneously or one after the other.
3. Winds will blow. Satan, the world system, finance, and social winds will blow in various times and stages.

These evils will boldly assault every marrriage in the morning, afternoon or evening. It is only those who are wise enough to build on the rock of ages, the Lord, by loving Him and His word will have their marriages standing in spite of all odds.
Are you genuinely in love with the Lord, Jesus Christ? . Please do!

This was the motive behind Leah's cravings for Jacob's love. She loved God but circumstances beyond her control eroded her husband's love. She was hated but her love for the Lord sustained her until the evening of her marrriage.
Stay blessed and rapturable because the Lord is coming soon.
