The World's Savior's Birthday

LEN'S LINES -- A Little Religion On A Positive Note By Len Granger

Every country has national heroes and they are remembered by celebrating their birthdays. We remember our first president George Washington and President Lincoln who took us through a Civil War, with school and bank holidays.

On a much broader scale, the world over the centuries has celebrated the birthday of our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, some 75% of the countries in the world have Christmas Day Holidays, in the Lords honor. As we read in the Bible, John 3:17, " For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

Today the Jewish nation does not celebrate the Messiah's birthday, however, the latest reports tell us 34 percent of American Jewish people have accepted the Lord as Savior and many Jewish people in their homeland attend some 150 Christian churches. Let us continue to stand by the Jewish nation and pray they will honor God's wishes as we see in Bible Book of Acts 2:36, " Therefore. let the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made the same Jesus whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ."

We pray everyone will take a few minutes this Christmas Holiday and give a prayer and honor to our saving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In God's Word the Bible it tells us so clearly of the purpose of the Savior's birth. John 3:16, " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have eternal live."

This Christmas we pray we will all be the church of our choice. singing and worshiping our most loving and gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
